Ranking-Arizona-Business-Logo-smallAchen-Gardner ranked #4 in the 2010 Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Business "Construction Companies: Heavy" category. We were ranked #8 in 2009. Notable projects in this year's Ranking Arizona Magazine were improvements in Scottsdale on Indian School Road and the Silverstone development, improvements in Chandler on Gilbert Road, and improvements in Gilbert on Val Vista Drive.

Ranking Arizona is based purely on voters’ opinion. Participants vote based on quality of product, service and who they would recommend doing business with. The responses are then assembled and ”ranked” according to their total number of votes. Ranking Arizona Magazine is published annually and consists of controlled mailed distribution to primarily upper management executives, presidents, principals and small business owners.

Achen-Gardner was featured in the September 2009 issue of Construction Today Magazine for our work on the Central Arizona Project Waterline to the South Water Treatment Plant project.

Some firms subcontract out their work, but Achen-Gardner Engineering LLC prefers to do most of its projects on its own. In fact, Vice President and Director of Special Projects Dan Spitza says that the company typically self-performs 85 percent of its projects. “That, in itself, is one of our biggest strengths,” he says, explaining that this self-reliance gives Achen-Gardner a greater hold on quality and project schedules.
