Apprenticeship Program
We are a proud and active sponsor of the Apprenticeship Program provided through the Arizona Chapter of Associated General Contractors (AGC). Achen-Gardner sponsors employees throughout a three-year program in Heavy Equipment Operation. Most recently, our own Doby “Joe” Snedigar was named 2009 Apprentice of the Year in the Heavy Equipment Operator category for the state of Arizona. Certification and Leadership Programs
In addition to offering a number of trainings and certification programs related to Safety, Human Resources, Project Management, and other soft skills, Achen-Gardner is distinctively invested in developing leadership potential in our staff. Since 1982, we have sponsored numerous employees through hundreds of intensive leadership classes in partnership with Rapport Leadership International. Internships
We believe in providing positive internship experiences for students interested in construction. We ensure that interns gain meaningful exposure to the industry and come away with an increased awareness of the diverse career opportunities available to them. Students are provided with challenging and practical “real world” experience both in the office and out in the field. The terms and conditions of each student’s internship are developed at the beginning of the sponsorship and availability is based on the company’s ability to sponsor at the time the request is made.
