Our annual memorial golf tournament/fundraiser will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017.

Achen-Gardner presents the Tenth Annual Mike Kolling Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament on Friday, April 21, 2017 at San Marcos Golf Resort and invites you once again to join us. The tournament has served to financially support local engineering and construction students at the three major universities here in Arizona – Arizona State University, University of Arizona, and Northern Arizona University.

To date, the Tournament has funded more than $192,000 in scholarships at the three universities.

Mike was a tremendous supporter of our industry, and we’re very honored to have the opportunity to give back to the educational community in his memory. We also feel it is important to continue the tournament and support of student scholarships to the extent that we all can. We keep our tournament sponsorship fees as low as possible to encourage your ongoing support in keeping the scholarships funded.

San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, AZ will be hosting our tournament this year. Don’t forget to register early to hold your foursome! You can easily fill-in the attached form on your computer and email it back to Karen Bilby at Kbilby@achen.com and follow up with a check in the mail. Please provide your email contact information so we can easily follow up with confirmations.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Achen-Gardner Construction's 56th Street Reconstruction CMAR project has won Arizona Forward's most prestigious Environmental Excellence Award.

We are very excited to announce that our Town of Paradise Valley 56th Street Reconstruction CMAR project has been awarded a Crescordia award in the Healthy Communities - Multimodal Transportation & Connectivity category. The award was presented at Arizona Forward’s 36th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards ceremony on September 10, 2016, at the Arizona Grand Resort. Arizona Forward initiated the Environmental Excellence Awards in 1980 to recognize outstanding contributions to the physical environment of local communities. The program has grown significantly and now serves as a benchmark for promoting sustainability, conserving natural resources, and preserving our unique desert environment for future generations. Since introducing the Environmental Excellence Awards program, the coveted Crescordia — a Greek term which means “To Grow in Harmony” — has been given as the highest honor in each category.

This is the first Crescordia for a project constructed by Achen-Gardner though we did recieve Arizona Forward Awards of Merit for two past projects: City of Phoenix's Centennial Way Federal Aid Transportation Enhancement project and the City of Chandler's South Arizona Avenue Corridor Improvements project.

The 56th Street Reconstruction project has won many other state and national awards. See the project page for more information.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this project!
