Achen-Gardner Construction's 56th Street Reconstruction CMAR project has won Arizona Forward's most prestigious Environmental Excellence Award.

We are very excited to announce that our Town of Paradise Valley 56th Street Reconstruction CMAR project has been awarded a Crescordia award in the Healthy Communities - Multimodal Transportation & Connectivity category. The award was presented at Arizona Forward’s 36th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards ceremony on September 10, 2016, at the Arizona Grand Resort. Arizona Forward initiated the Environmental Excellence Awards in 1980 to recognize outstanding contributions to the physical environment of local communities. The program has grown significantly and now serves as a benchmark for promoting sustainability, conserving natural resources, and preserving our unique desert environment for future generations. Since introducing the Environmental Excellence Awards program, the coveted Crescordia — a Greek term which means “To Grow in Harmony” — has been given as the highest honor in each category.

This is the first Crescordia for a project constructed by Achen-Gardner though we did recieve Arizona Forward Awards of Merit for two past projects: City of Phoenix's Centennial Way Federal Aid Transportation Enhancement project and the City of Chandler's South Arizona Avenue Corridor Improvements project.

The 56th Street Reconstruction project has won many other state and national awards. See the project page for more information.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this project!
