Water Main Replacements

Project Owner: City of Chandler
Project Type: Construction Manager at Risk
Construction Dates: 05/25 to 12/25

This project replaced aging water lines in several neighborhoods and on heavily traveled roadways. We replaced water pipelines, associated residential service connections, and fire hydrants throughout Erie Street, Sunset Manor, and Tyson Manor. This area of Chandler has experienced water main breaks. Replacing these water mains gave residents more reliable access to City water for decades to come.

Our team used a 24-hour hotline with immediate response capability and a public information website and social media sites. We had public meetings with stakeholders, and provided regular mailer updates regarding the project. We also assisted with one-on-one interactions and hand delivered notices to residents and businesses who were directly impacted by construction.

We replaced more than 12,600 LF of water mains ranging from 6” to 16” diameters, within two high-priority areas: Tyson Manor and Sunset Manor. This included the relocation of water mains from alleys to the front of residential properties and the necessary tie-ins to the existing house water connections.
