Roadway and Drainage Improvements - Mockingbird Lane from 56th Street to Invergordon Road

This project will provide much-needed drainage improvements to Mockingbird Lane (56th Street to Invergordon Road) and Invergordon Road (Mockingbird Lane to the Indian Bend Wash). We are installing more than 5,100 LF of storm drain (18” to 30”) on Mockingbird Lane and 1,530 LF of 3’ by 8’ box culvert on Invergordon Road.

These new storm water management facilities will greatly improve the accessibility of the corridor and reduce damage during rain events. We are installing the storm drain within shorter workzones that can be quickly backfilled as we progress through the neighborhood, reducing impacts to resident driveways. The box culvert will be a precast installation to shorten the work footprint and reduce the amount of time the area is under construction.

The project also includes one mile of roadway reconstruction, providing rehabilitation of the pavement, traffic calming, safety improvements, and some Visually Significant Corridor elements to enhance the character of this residential corridor and create consistency with other roads in the area.
