Improvements to Verrado Way and Yuma Road Intersection, North to Van Buren Street

Project Owner: City of Buckeye
Project Type: Construction Manager at Risk
Construction Dates: 05/26 to 11/26

This project will add new travel lanes in both directions on Verrado Way from Yuma Road to Van Buren Street and will also include improvements to drainage, traffic signals, and street lighting. Quantities include:

  • 40,200 SY of asphalt paving

  • 14,300 SF of sidewalk

  • 12,300 LF of curb and gutter

  • 1,700 LF of 36” storm drain

  • 500 LF of 12” sewer line and two manholes

  • 800 LF of 16” water line and 2 valves

To reduce schedule duration and overall costs, the Verrado Way and Yuma Road intersection will be fully closed to traffic until fall 2026. We are maintaining access to local businesses, schools, and residences throughout construction.

Achen-Gardner’s project team attended and presented at the City’s Community Open House before the start of construction. This open house allowed residents the opportunity to learn more about the project, the closure of the intersection, and the detour routes available during construction.
